WIP Wednesday

While it’s not technically Wednesday here in Sydney, because we had a long weekend and all had Monday off, it feels like Wednesday. The good news is tomorrow is Friday, and if Friday isn’t the best day of the working week, then I don’t know what is.  Which is all to say that my Wednesday WIP is a day late.  I hope you’ll forgive me.

The project I’m working on at the moment is the Contrail shawl by Meg Gadsbey. Meg is a Sydney knitwear designer, and if you aren’t already following her on Instagram, then I have to wonder what you are doing with your time. The shawl is knit in Adagio Mills 4 ply alpaca, which is like knitting a cloud.  I am madly in love with it, and have put some of the Stormy grey away for next winter.  I’ve just knit my 125th stitch, but am modifying the pattern by using three colours instead of two not because I’m not good at doing what I’m told, but because I just love grey tones and had to buy as many as I could.  I can’t wait for this to be finished, although with Sydney sprinting towards Spring, it may get packed away for next year.

What’s your Wednesday WIP?
